Conflict of Interest Policy on Harold Rogers PDMP Grant Applications

The Brandeis PMP Center of Excellence (COE) is committed to helping state Prescription Monitoring Programs (PMPs) maximize their effectiveness in addressing the prescription drug abuse epidemic. Funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, the COE’s goal is to provide academically sound and practice-relevant information, evaluation, and expertise to PMPs and their stakeholders.

As a grantee itself in the Harold Rogers PDMP grant program, the COE is not permitted to provide assistance to any PMP concerning applications for funding from that program. The COE is prohibited from:

  1. offering advice on any aspect of a Harold Rogers grant application;
  2. reviewing written applications or drafts of any portion of an application; or
  3. providing any written or oral input relating to an application.

This policy is designed to avoid any conflict of interest or perception of providing an unfair advantage to any applicant for a Harold Rogers PDMP grant. This policy shall not prohibit the COE from participating in discussions with PMPs about their programmatic focus and operations, or from providing consultation and information about program evaluation, best practices and data analyses when considered independently of a Harold Rogers grant application.
